Accurate and timely diagnosis is a major factor in successful medical treatment . Therefore, a correct diagnosis is the key to all healing protocols.

Today, diagnostic centers are sprouting up like mushrooms, employing a variety of diagnostic tools. The problem is that the essential issue is not treated. We do not know what should really be treated. We can diagnose the disease in a patient's body but the source of the disease is never there, it begins elsewhere.

Man is not just the body that you see in the mirror. Humans consist of a body and a soul together, so diagnostics must be holistic. The first step is to find out who, what type of person lives in that body, what kind of character it possesses, how and why you arrived into this world and what tasks and what circumstances led you into this world. How you have lived, and how you are living now? What kind of beliefs  you have, what internal and external factors have affected your physical existence? What stressful situations have you faced in your life? What was your job? What happened there? You need to find out every little thing about the patient, and from all this information a talented doctor is able to draw a complete picture of the patient. This is the anamnesis (case history). The anamnesis is not just an incomplete list of diseases, that is not enough, it lacks the most important important factor, the man himself!

On the other hand, you need to find out what has changed in the nature of the man in relation to the constitution (physique) with which he was born. If he was born, for example, phlegmatic, and now he is vata, he has become the complete opposite. In this case, we can do anything, we can use any therapy, despite the fact that we have discovered the physical manifestation of the condition, we have not discovered its source. Therefore, we turn to Ayurvedic medicine and its diagnostic procedure. This is utilised not just when the patient arrives but throughout his or her stay, through close observation.  If the doctor, which ours are,  is diagnostically competent, he can track the patient's psychological changes, and observe daily changes in the physiological processes. By knowingnwhat direction such changes should occur and which methods will facilitate them, he has a huge opportunity to help the patient. If we cannot see what changes are advantageous, then it is very difficult to treat an individual.

In ayurvedic diagnostics importance is placed on the tongue, the eyes and the heart rate . From a patient's pulse rate, the doctor is able to determine the changes that certain organs have indergone. By examining the skin's surface temperature, whether it is smooth or not, by watching the stool, urine, and sweat. Everything is important in diagnostics. And of course, there is conventional, western medicine, diagnostics, and its tools, which we also use: blood tests, ultrasound, CT scan and a host of others. At Calendula the old and the new are intertwined through the application of both Eastern and Western medicine.

Ayurvedic medicine teaches us that the patient is a living book which the physician should be able to read. The symptoms of a disease always manifest themselves along with the loss of the system’s equilibrium.

Should you have any symptoms you are concerned about, our doctors are always ready to be consulted and once a diagnosis has been establised prescribe a programme of treatment that will go the source of the condition.
