According to the Ayurvedic concept, health and longevity depend on how digestion and metabolism work, how the body absorbs nutrients and gets rid of toxins. In the Triphala formula, the fruit ratio is 1: 1: 1. But, depending on the constitutional type, the number of ingredients in the composition may vary. For example, for the Vata type, the ratio of the parts of amalaki, bibhitaka and haritaka will be 2: 1: 3, for Pitta – 3: 1: 2, for Kapha – 1: 3: 2.
