About this area of care

Diagnosing endocrine disorders and a personalised strategy for treatment and recovery

Weight changes, fatigue, menstrual irregularities, reduced libido or poor sleep may be reasons to check hormonal health. At CALENDULA, we consider these concerns alongside medical history, lifestyle and current medicines to understand what care is genuinely needed.

The endocrine system helps regulate metabolism, reproductive function and the response to strain. Problems with its function may affect several aspects of wellbeing at once. This specialty therefore combines medical diagnostics and treatment with personalised nutrition, herbal support and restorative practices.

Unlike the women’s and men’s health programmes with defined lengths of stay, this plan is built around a specific endocrine issue. The duration and scope of support are selected individually.

Who this care is for

  • For conditions affecting the thyroid and other endocrine organs.
  • For weight fluctuations, fatigue and disturbed sleep when possible hormonal causes need clarification.
  • For menstrual irregularities, PCOS, pregnancy preparation and age-related hormonal changes.
  • For confirmed androgen disorders and combined hormonal and metabolic problems.
  • For puberty-related concerns, with a separate specialist plan for the adolescent.

Medical assessment and strategy

Initial meeting. The doctor reviews symptom progression, family risks, previous illnesses and all current medicines and supplements. Previous test results help avoid unnecessary repeat investigations.

Targeted diagnostics. Hormonal and biochemical markers are selected according to the suspected disorder. Ultrasound is prescribed where needed; MRI, scintigraphy and other specialist investigations are considered for specific indications, with an agreed investigation pathway.

Medical priorities. Thyroid conditions prompt an assessment of function and symptoms; carbohydrate metabolism disorders prompt a review of metabolic risks; reproductive concerns require the relevant hormonal and gynaecological or andrological context. Not every instance of fatigue is related to a hormonal condition.

A coordinated plan. Core endocrinological treatment is combined with nutrition, correction of confirmed deficiencies and suitable restorative methods. Ayurvedic constitutional assessment complements personalisation without replacing a medical diagnosis.

A programme tailored to you

The course begins with assessment and identification of personal priorities. The doctor then assesses treatment tolerance and refines the plan according to observations.

Medical support. Selection and monitoring of necessary treatment, explanation of test results and scheduling of reassessment. Hormonal medicines are changed only on medical grounds.

Nutrition and herbal medicine. A diet tailored to you considering metabolism and food tolerance, correction of confirmed deficiencies and personalised CALENDULA herbal formulations, checked for compatibility with treatment.

Ayurvedic support. Suitable oil treatments and elements of Panchakarma with preparation and recovery. Their role in the programme is supportive care and rest; they do not replace hormonal treatment.

Body and device-based methods. Massage, pressotherapy and suitable balneotherapy. Iodine-bromine baths, laser therapy and magnetic therapy are considered only for separate indications and when appropriate for the specific endocrine condition.

Stress and sleep. Shirodhara, gentle yoga, qigong, pranayama and meditation help establish a calmer recovery routine. Practices are adapted to your experience and wellbeing.

The scope and duration are determined after the initial examination, taking account of contraindications and current medicines. Pregnancy, the postpartum period, adolescence and an unstable condition require a separate plan without a standard cleansing routine.

Course goals and final consultation

You receive an explanation of the results and a coordinated plan for treatment, nutrition and recovery. The doctor identifies which measures to monitor and when to reassess them. This forms the basis of consistent hormonal healthcare, which continues after your clinic stay when a chronic condition is present.
