About this service

Personalised therapy and whole-body recovery for metabolic syndrome and metabolic disorders

Increased waist circumference, fluctuations in blood pressure, and disorders of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism are interconnected parts of one process. CALENDULA’s metabolic health programme is designed for people who need an in-depth, whole-body approach: instead of fragmented prescriptions from different specialists, you receive one coordinated health plan.

At the core of metabolic syndrome is insulin resistance — reduced tissue sensitivity to insulin, which makes it harder to maintain normal glucose balance. Without comprehensive management, this increases the risk of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Unlike weight-loss programmes, our focus goes far beyond the number on the scales: we address the underlying causes of metabolic imbalance by combining evidence-based clinical diagnostics, personalised therapeutic nutrition, carefully managed physical activity and targeted restorative therapy.

Who this service is for

For an established diagnosis of metabolic syndrome or the presence of several risk factors (increased waist circumference, insulin resistance, dyslipidaemia).

For changes in carbohydrate metabolism (elevated fasting glucose, impaired glucose tolerance).

For high blood pressure combined with excess body weight and a sedentary lifestyle.

For coexisting liver or gastrointestinal disorders, elevated uric acid or hormonal imbalance.

For those seeking to bring metabolism under control and optimise medication burden with the support of natural and integrative medicine.

Medical assessment and strategy

Initial medical consultation. Detailed review of family history, weight trends, eating patterns, sleep, stress levels, previous illnesses and current medication.

Laboratory tests and diagnostic screening. Assessment of blood pressure, body composition (bioimpedance analysis), carbohydrate and lipid profiles. Where indicated, uric acid, markers of liver and kidney function, hormonal status and cardiovascular health are assessed.

Comprehensive assessment of interactions. Coexisting conditions — gout, fatty liver disease, hormonal imbalances and gastrointestinal diseases that interfere with normal nutrient absorption and metabolism — are taken into account when assessing the condition and preparing the treatment plan.

Integrative approach. A synthesis of modern medical standards and fundamental Ayurvedic principles (Medoroga, Prameha, the state of the digestive fire Agni and the accumulation of metabolic toxins Ama). This makes it possible to personalise restorative protocols, addressing health at tissue and cellular levels.

Individual programme

Medical management. Ongoing medical monitoring of blood pressure, tolerance of procedures and changes in key metabolic markers, with prompt adjustment of prescriptions.

Therapeutic nutrition. A personalised diet with controlled glycaemic load, taking into account food tolerance, biorhythms and preservation of active muscle mass.

CALENDULA phytotherapy. Individually selected plant extracts and herbal blends from the clinic’s own laboratory. Formulas are prescribed with drug compatibility and organ protection (protection of the liver and kidneys) in mind.

Ayurvedic therapy. Specialised procedures (oil techniques, heat treatments, deep lymphatic-drainage Udvartana massage) and gentle Panchakarma protocols aimed at detoxification, improving microcirculation and increasing cellular sensitivity to insulin.

Therapeutic movement. Special therapeutic exercise programmes, adaptive joint exercises, gentle yoga and qigong, carefully tailored to the condition of the cardiovascular and musculoskeletal systems.

Stress reduction and sleep regulation. Body practices and relaxation techniques aimed at normalising cortisol levels — one of the main triggers of visceral obesity and insulin resistance.

Ongoing monitoring. The programme is flexibly adapted to your wellbeing and the body’s biochemical responses.

The content and duration of the course are determined individually after the initial assessment. Medication is adjusted strictly according to clinical indications, with the subsequent possibility of a careful transition to natural plant-based products as the body’s metabolic processes recover.

Programme goals and final consultation

At the end of the programme, you receive a detailed clinical picture of your metabolic health and a clear personalised roadmap for the next steps:

a home plan for supportive phytotherapy and nutrition;

recommendations on physical activity and stress management;

an individual schedule for follow-up tests (including markers with delayed change, such as HbA1c) to track long-term progress.

The programme lays the foundation for stable metabolic health and supports your body’s capacity for natural self-regulation.
