The price of shockwave therapy depends on the treatment plan, which our doctors create individually based on the diagnosis and the patient’s current condition. Therefore, the price of shockwave therapy may vary; the cost of one treatment in case of outpatient visits is 40 EUR. An exact quotation can only be provided after a medical consultation, therefore please contact our colleagues by phone or in writing to arrange an appointment.

Shockwave therapy consists of at least 5 treatments. The treatment plan is individualized; however, at least several weeks of therapy are needed for long-term results. In most cases, it includes 5–10 sessions, repeated at 5–7 day intervals, with at least two days between each treatment. Shockwave treatments are performed with gradually increasing intensity to place greater stress on the tissues, thereby enhancing the beneficial effects occurring in the tissues.

A treatment usually lasts 15–20 minutes, and after leaving the clinic, you can continue your daily activities without any problems.

The success of shockwave therapy largely depends on the shockwave therapy device. The success of the treatment also depends on the condition, as well as the frequency and intensity of the shockwaves. For successful shockwave therapy, it is necessary to follow the recommended treatment plan, which consists of several sessions.

We recommend that you book three to four weeks in advance. For end-of-year and early season bookings, we recommend sending your reservation request at least two months in advance. However, if you would like to come to our clinic at any time, please contact our staff, because there can be a vacancy at any time, which can be favourable for a sudden idea-driven booking.

Treatment is also possible without a prior consultation, however for Hungarian patients we generally recommend attending an initial medical consultation. If you already have a booking at our clinic but have not yet had a consultation, then on the day of arrival, during your first visit, you can discuss your treatment needs with our doctors, and based on your health condition, the appropriate therapy will be decided together.

During the first consultation, a detailed discussion and medical examination take place, during which our doctors thoroughly assess your condition and healthcare needs. After this, they prepare an individual treatment plan for you, which includes the necessary therapies.

The patient informs the specialist about their current health condition and medical history during the initial medical consultation. The following contraindications for shockwave therapy are known:

  • malignant tumor previously or currently present in the treatment area
  • pregnancy;
  • severe blood clotting disorder, use of anticoagulant medication
