Musculoskeletal pain, headaches making your daily life impossible? Acupuncture is a trusted method of Chinese traditional medicine that has been proven for thousands of years to help relieve pain pain painlessly. Acupuncture can relieve your pain by sparing you the side effects of painkillers such as stomach upsets, kidney and liver damage, and it can also be used to relieve and cure a wide range of ailments.
Acupuncture treatment is based on the principles of Chinese traditional medicine. The human body is made up of energy channels, which, according to ancient Chinese medicine, allow the free flow of life energy (chi). The diseases are caused by a disturbance in the flow of chi. By inserting thin acupuncture needles into the acupuncture points, the energy blocks can be unblocked, restoring the energy flow.
Its scientific background is based on the structure of the nerve pathways, which have certain stimulation - acupuncture - points. The stimulation of these points pain-relieving endorphins are produced and the body's ability to regenerate itself is increased. The treatment is healing not only on a physical level, but also on a spiritual level. Acupuncture can also be combined with collagen therapy for musculoskeletal disorders.
Acupuncture treatment does not require any home preparation or major preparation. On arrival at the clinic, the doctor will determine the areas where the needles will be inserted before the treatment. After disinfecting the areas, a very thin (about 0.2 mm thick) single-use sterile medical needle is inserted into the top layer of the skin. The needle is the thickness of a darker hair.
Up to 10-15 needles are inserted during a treatment, which are not particularly uncomfortable: they cause a slight tingling sensation and warmth. The acupuncture treatment takes about forty minutes from skin disinfection to removal of the needles.
The treatments should be used in a course of treatment - with regular repetitions. Depending on the existing problem and the patient's body a course of treatment usually consists of 8-12 treatments, which should be done twice a week. If treatment is longer-term and focused on chronic problems, weekly or monthly treatment may be needed.

Although medical needles are used during acupuncture, they are very thin, so there is no pain, but rather a tingling, tightness and some redness, which is relieved within minutes. During the half-hour period, while the upper layer of the patient's skin is stimulated by the acupuncture needles, he or she will be in a meditative, relaxed state. Afterwards, the removal of the needles is followed by a mild tingling sensation.
The results vary from person to person, but usually there is a noticeable improvement in symptoms and wellbeing during treatment. For a long-lasting effect, treatment should be repeated at the agreed amount and frequency.
