Calendula Health Institute has developed a specific therapeutic programme to improve fertility and fertility for both men and women. 

Fertility has declined dramatically in recent decades. According to recent research, at least one in six couples in developed countries, including Hungary, has infertility problems.  

Male fertility has declined significantly over the past year. 

Several factors can impair sperm function:  

  • Obesity 
  • Metabolic disorders, diabetes  
  • Tumour diseases 
  • Infections, mumps, bacterial and sexually transmitted diseases 
  • Age 
  • Medicines 
  • Smoking, alcohol and drug use 

 

The programme can be useful not only for those struggling with childbearing problems, as lifestyle changes are recommended for couples even before family planning. 

This naturally assisted reproductive programme consists of 2 parts: 

  1. Intensive treatments. Aims to cleanse the body of harmful substances, improve blood circulation to the uterus and pelvic organs, and increase sperm count and quality. 
  2. Herbs to stimulate the production of sex hormones (progesterone, testosterone) and acupuncture.

When can the programme start? 

It can be started anytime, even with drug therapy. The treatment can be used before in vitro fertilisation to increase the chance of fertilisation. 

The minimum term of the programme is 5 days – if the doctor finds no abnormalities.  

In such cases, the most common causes are too much work, stress, sedentary lifestyle, poor diet and acidosis.
