Kinesitherapy is one of the most effective methods of musculoskeletal rehabilitation, aimed at developing and enhancing the extensor muscles. In practice, the method consists of performing physical exercises on special simulators with decompression and antigravity functions. The presence of a specialist supervising the exercise is mandatory.

Medical indications for kinesitherapy:

How does it work?

The extensor muscles are developed when we walk up and down or swim and do so-called static exercises, during which we have to maintain resistance. However, as there is very little of this activity in our lives, the extensor muscles regularly fail to perform their role, causing them to lose tone. As a consequence, the musculoskeletal system starts to age earlier than genetic ageing would occur.

Kinesitherapy can solve this problem by performing certain exercises using the antigravity and resistance functions of simulators. The principle of the exercise is to maintain weight and resist gravity (“motion control” - the second name for kinesitherapy). This also allows deep muscles to move that would not normally do so. With regular exercise, a new muscle frame is formed, joint mobility and flexibility are restored, and as a result, spasm is relieved, nerve endings are released - back pain and discomfort are eliminated.

In addition, such training improves general and local blood circulation, activates metabolism, initiates the process of tissue repair, which helps to treat inflammatory processes in the joints. An important component of kinesitherapy is proper breathing.
Regular physical activity stimulates the body's defence mechanisms, prevents the development of diseases by eliminating muscle atrophy, restoring movement automatisms and building up appropriate movement stereotypes and modes.

The practices of kinesitherapy alone are of course not sufficient for the recovery of spinal disorders, but the therapy should not be underestimated either, as scientific research and the experience of our clinic confirm its high effectiveness.

Result

  • - strengthening the muscles of the spine and the chest wall
  • - restoring the geometry of the whole musculoskeletal system
  • - developing the correct posture
  • - elimination of pain syndrome
  • - reducing the size of intervertebral hernias
