Metamer therapy is a segmental treatment method based on the physiological principle that certain areas of the body (skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, nerves, blood vessels, and internal organs) belong to the same spinal cord segment.

If the function of an internal organ is disturbed, it may cause pain, tension, and sensitivity in its corresponding reflex zones (skin and muscle areas). During the therapy, targeted injection treatment is used to support the functional harmonization of the related organs through reflex pathways.

During the treatment, a small amount of vitamins is administered with a thin needle under the skin, into the muscle, or near the joints and nerves.

The injected substance has a direct effect on nerve cells.

Metamer therapy points often coincide with acupuncture points, but they must be distinguished as they have different functions.

When is metamer therapy recommended:

How does it work?

The human body consists of metamers. During embryonic development, the organism is formed in segmented units called metamers. During metamer treatment, therapeutic effects are induced both locally and at distant points. A vitamin-like therapeutic substance is injected into different areas of the body. We typically use cerebrolysin, a neuropeptide that has a beneficial effect on nerve cells and helps regenerate the myelin sheath surrounding nerve fibers, thereby improving nerve impulse conduction. It also has a neuroprotective effect, protecting nerve cells from oxidative damage. It may have a positive effect on memory and concentration. It is used as a complementary treatment for radiating pain to the arm, shoulder, or lower limb, as well as numbness caused by spinal disc herniation. It is also applied in cases of muscle paralysis, polyneuropathy, and after cerebral stroke.

Metamer therapy is based on the principles of reflexology.
