Colonoscopy

Dr. János Kersák, with his decades of experience and outstanding professional knowledge, awaits patients in our clinic for gastroenterological examinations. During a colonoscopy, he uses a flexible instrument equipped with a camera and light source to examine the entire inner surface of the colon and the last part of the small intestine. The aim of colonoscopy is to detect colorectal diseases such as inflammation, polyps or tumours early or to find the cause of symptoms (bleeding, diarrhoea, pain). The tests are performed under anaesthesia.
