Kinesitherapy is an effective method of musculoskeletal rehabilitation aimed at strengthening and developing the extensor muscles. In practice, the method focuses on strengthening the deep muscles supporting the spine and the muscles surrounding the joints. The therapy is performed using training machines that reduce load on the joints. The exercises are carried out with specific breathing techniques. It is an individualized program conducted under professional supervision.

When is kinesitherapy recommended:

How does it work?

The extensor muscles are activated during so-called static exercises, walking, or swimming. With a sedentary lifestyle and increasing age, the extensor muscles lose their tone. As a result, the flexor muscles become stronger. Consequently, the musculoskeletal system begins to age faster, and degenerative changes appear prematurely.

How does it affect the body?

  • It improves circulation and enhances blood flow in the joints, allowing more oxygen and nutrients to reach the tissues.
  • It strengthens the muscles and stabilizes the joints. By restoring the balance of weak or overstrained muscles, pain and the risk of injury are reduced.
  • It improves range of motion. Stretching and mobilizing exercises enhance joint flexibility.
  • After injury or surgery, it helps restore the neuromuscular connection.
  • It has a positive effect on well-being. Regular exercise reduces stress.

Kinesitherapy exercises alone are not sufficient for the recovery of spinal disorders; however, the therapy should not be underestimated, as both scientific research and our clinic’s experience confirm its effectiveness.
